Citrus fruits from Agrumes Baches in EUS

In the Eastern Pyrenees, in 2017 they took over the reins of the Agrumes Bachès estate, created some thirty years earlier.

Located about forty kilometers from Perpignan, in the Têt valley which crosses the Pyrénées-Orientales. The soil there is complex, built over thousands of years by floods and erosion.

Both agricultural engineers, they fell under the spell of this enchanting place where, “from October to March, during the citrus season, the fruits punctuate with vivid marks the luxuriance of the evergreen trees. »

Les Agrumes Bachès is both a small-scale production and a collection of exceptional citrus fruits.

Their orchard has several hundred varieties, mainly resulting from crossbreeding and sometimes represented by a single branch grafted onto a tree.

"It's a real work of craftsmanship that is carried out by five people on the three hectares - not mechanized - of the estate, in order to provide the chefs with tailor-made citrus fruits"

Upon their arrival, Perrine and Etienne launched a conversion to organic farming. They will be able to display the Organic Agriculture label in 2021.

Since spring 2020, the offer has been open to individuals, who can have baskets of assorted fruits delivered.
