Nieves CASTEJON, Daniel and their family are shellfish producers in PORT-SAINT-LOUIS-DU-RHONE (13).
Since 1995, these sea lovers have gone from the seafood trade to become producers in order to offer their customers always controlled quality, while respecting marine biodiversity.
Since 2010, they have started producing mussels and then oysters in Anse de Carteau, which is part of the Camargue Regional Park.
This artisanal work ended with the registration of the “La Perle de Camargue” brand for their exceptional organic Camargue oyster. They then went looking for the Organic Farming label to assure their customers that their oysters were born at sea and only knew it, in entirely natural conditions, and to guarantee a production method that respects the environment. and animal welfare.
With concrete virtuous practices in their production methods, they are truly committed to providing the best of the sea and raising awareness among their customers and visitors about the challenges of their sector of activity.
I had the pleasure of visiting their facilities with part of my team. It was a very nice moment of sharing and a real pleasure for us to see concretely where the products we prepare come from and to spend time with the enthusiasts who take care of them.
